Order Process

Once your order has been placed, you will receive our first email confirmation. Once your order has been dispatched,  you will receive another with tracking information for your records.

With sustainability in mind, if multiple orders are placed with the same delivery address, Saloon may combine shipments where appropriate.

We aim to dispatch orders within two (2) business days of being placed, please note that as we are closed Monday & Tuesday, any orders placed on those days will be dispatched from Wednesday onwards.

All orders with Saloon are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) which is included in the final price. 

We accept the following payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Paypal, Afterpay, ApplePay, GooglePay, ShopPay.

Pre Order Policy

For items that are purchased on a pre-order basis, please refer to the delivery information in the description of the product. To the best of our ability, Saloon will update you on the relevant delivery times. Orders will need to be completed with payment in full in order to reserve any item. Items will be shipped out upon becoming available.

Pre-ordered items are able to be returned or exchanged as per our Returns policy.

Shipping & Delivery

Domestic

We offer both Standard and Express shipping options, Standard shipping is $10 and Express is $15.

 

The estimated delivery times are 3-7 days for Standard shipments and 1-3 for Express. Please note that these are only estimates and actual delivery times may differ. 

We recommend providing a delivery address where someone will be present to receive the parcel such as your home or work address. If no one is present to accept the parcel, it will be taken to your nearest collection point, or you can arrange for re-delivery. Please note that at this time, only Express shipments can be delivered to a PO box address. 

International

We offer Standard International shipping for a flat rate of $40. If you require Express shipment with delivery between 2 - 5 business days, please email ciao@saloon.store where we can organise a quote for you.

International orders with a destination outside of Australia may incur customs, taxes or duties charges. Saloon does not accept responsibility for any customs, taxes or duties charges that may apply to your order. We are unable to estimate what charges may apply to an order and should charges apply, the receiver is responsible for payment. We recommend looking up customs information in your destination country before placing your order. Saloon is unable to alter the order value or mark a shipment as a gift.

If a customer refuses to accept a shipment from Saloon, they are liable for any shipping fees, import charges as well as the cost of returning the shipment to Saloon. 

 

Returns & Exchanges

Returns Policy

Saloon accepts returns for exchange or store credit if they meet our returns criteria:

  • Items must be returned within a 14-day window of receiving the item. Requests falling outside of this period will not be accepted.
  • The item must be unworn, unused and in original condition including tags.
  • Beauty, Fragrances and Intimates products are not accepted for returns. 
  • You have proof of purchase for the item.
  • Initial shipping charges will not be refunded. 


Saloon does not accept returns for refund unless an item is faulty, as per ACCC regulations which can be found HERE. If you have received your order and there is an issue, let us know as soon as possible.

Exchanges / Store Credit

When returning you may choose to exchange or receive Store Credit to the equivalent value of your return. 

Exchanges are subject to the availability of what you would like to exchange for. There is a maximum of one exchange per item. The customer is responsible for all applicable shipping charges. 

Store credit will be issued in the form of a gift voucher that will be emailed to you. Store credit does not expire and can be used for all available products. 

Gift Cards

Saloon offers gift cards, available HERE. 

Gift cards are delivered immediately via email to the recipient's address, please ensure the timing of your gift card works for you. Otherwise, we recommend providing your own email and forwarding it on to the recipient.

They are valid for three (3) years and are able to be used on any available product. 

Packaging

How to dispose of our packaging

Saloon encourages you to responsibly dispose of the packaging that you receive your order in. Where possible, we recommend re-using materials.  

Cardboard Box 
Break down, remove any plastic tape and stickers and place in a recycling bin. 

Compostable Mailer
Made from plant-based bio-plastic with non-toxic inks. Certified to compost in home and industrial environments.
When finished with the mailer, remove stickers and labels and place into a compost.

Saloon Tape
'Saloon' tape is paper-based with a water-activated adhesive and is fully compostable. 

Tissue Paper
Place in compost or recycling.

Stickers
Our stickers are paper-based and printed with soy-based inks and are fully compostable.

Glassine Envelopes & Thank you Cards
Although we hope you hold onto them as a keepsake, our thank you cards and the transparent envelope are both paper and can be placed in compost or recycling.

    • Purpose of collection: to load the Site accurately for you, and to perform analytics on Site usage to optimize our Site.

    • Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our processor Shopify.
    • Personal Information collected: version of web browser, IP address, time zone, cookie information, what sites or products you view, search terms, and how you interact with the Site.
  • Order information
    • Purpose of collection: to provide products or services to you to fulfill our contract, to process your payment information, arrange for shipping, and provide you with invoices and/or order confirmations, communicate with you, screen our orders for potential risk or fraud, and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
    • Source of collection: collected from you.
    • Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our processor Shopify and our shipment fulfillment partners.
    • Personal Information collected: name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers, email address, and phone number.
  • Customer support information
    • Purpose of collection: to provide customer support.

Sharing Personal Information

We share your Personal Information with service providers to help us provide our services and fulfill our contracts with you, as described above. For example:

  • We may share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

 

Using Personal Information

We use your personal Information to provide our services to you, which includes: offering products for sale, processing payments, shipping and fulfillment of your order, and keeping you up to date on new products, services, and offers.

 

Lawful basis

Pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), if you are a resident of the European Economic Area (“EEA”), we process your personal information under the following lawful bases:

  • Your consent;
  • The performance of the contract between you and the Site;
  • Compliance with our legal obligations;
  • To protect your vital interests;
  • To perform a task carried out in the public interest;
  • For our legitimate interests, which do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.

 

Retention

When you place an order through the Site, we will retain your Personal Information for our records unless and until you ask us to erase this information. For more information on your right of erasure, please see the ‘Your rights’ section below.


Automatic decision-making

If you are a resident of the EEA, you have the right to object to processing based solely on automated decision-making (which includes profiling), when that decision-making has a legal effect on you or otherwise significantly affects you.

We do not engage in fully automated decision-making that has a legal or otherwise significant effect using customer data.

Our processor Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud that does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you.

Services that include elements of automated decision-making include:

  • Temporary blacklist of IP addresses associated with repeated failed transactions. This blacklist persists for a small number of hours.
  • Temporary blacklist of credit cards associated with blacklisted IP addresses. This blacklist persists for a small number of days.

If you are a resident of the EEA, you have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you, to port it to a new service, and to ask that your Personal Information be corrected, updated, or erased. If you would like to exercise these rights, please contact us through the contact information above. 

Your Personal Information will be initially processed in Ireland and then will be transferred outside of Europe for storage and further processing, including to Canada and the United States. CCPA
