Originally created on the walls of Sorrenti’s New York loft, Draw Blood for Proof began as a personal collage of snapshots, contact sheets, Polaroids, and ephemera spanning over fifteen years of work. In 2004, it evolved into a large-scale gallery installation, covering the space from floor to ceiling and offering a raw, diaristic glimpse into the artist’s creative process—blurring the lines between the public and private realms of image-making.
